At Larsen Tella LLC, we are a well-respected provider of precision metal stampings and assemblies for both mechanical and electro-mechanical parts. Our dedication to quality and customer service, as well as our state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, have helped us gain a significant reputation with automotive customers.
An Assembly example of Larsen Tella LLC product line is Sun Roof Structural Frames. Both the stamping and assembly processes are complex, requiring 7 individual stamped components along with several joining methods using hot-dipped galvanized steel. The customer-supplied design required dimensions of 32″ x 46″ x 2″. Tolerances were to be as tight as +.010″ for both stamping and assembly procedures. In addition to the design, the production time was required within 2 weeks using a Kanban logistical cycle.
Our team started with the stamping process for each of the 7 individual components using our in-house punch presses, The components were joined using our innovative TOX assembly and production cell, reducing production and delivery time while providing significant cost savings for our customers. Each unit underwent stringent quality control inspection using developed gages, poke-e-yokes, and fixtures.
Our customer was extremely pleased with both our manufacturing capability and supply chain speed. A total of 50,000 units are now produced annually, signifying our expertise in automotive manufacturing.
