History

In 2022, Larsen Manufacturing acquired Tella Tool & Mfg., which operates the Tella business under the name Larsen Tella LLC.

The acquisition has expanded Larsen’s job offerings while simultaneously increasing capacity for both companies in the Midwest, Southeast (Brownsville/Matamoros) and Southwest (El Paso/Juarez) regions.

Started in 1968, the company has reached many achievements, prior to becoming Larsen Tella.

  • April 2014:
    ISO14001 registration approval is received.
  • May 2014
    Welding capacity increased in the Brownsville, TX facility with the addition of two 75 kVA Spot Welders.
  • May 2014
    Received recognition from the Workers Compensation Trust of Illinois (WTCI) for maintaining “zero lost time accidents” in 2013.
  • June 2014
    Increases machining capacity in Lombard by adding an Okuma M560VA CNC Vertical Machining Center equipped with a Midaco Automatic Pallet Changer

    The metrology lab at gets a new addition, a Micro-Vu Vertex Automated Vision Inspection machine.
  • March 2015
    Introduces new technology to the company with the acquisition of a new 3000 kW Trumpf TruLaser 1030 Fiber Optic Laser

    Recognizing its ongoing commitment to safety in 2014, received the No Lost Time Accidents Safety Award from the Workers’ Compensation Trust of Illinois (WTCI).
